G.p and I went to Gateway to watch that dreadful movie A Secret Affair (oo, hindi pa din ako maka-move on!). I’m not familiar with the place so G.p and I walked around to look for a place to dine when we saw Burgoo. I’ve been seeing this resto everywhere and I told G.p I wanna try it out.
Then I noticed that they got crayons and huge white cartolina on their tables where you can doodle stuffs. Wow! We immediately entered without hesitation! I know! Parang tanga lang. Eh wala!
Here’s our masterpiece! I know! I know! I intentionally wrote my blog’s name. I was so tempted to write my blog site just to promote. Harhar!
The resto is nice and cozy. I love the light interiors and the promptness of the staffs. I love the comfy chair and everything. And most of all, I loved the fact that their chairs are high enough to cover other diners. I mean, we sometimes need our privacy right. G.p and I can act all kid-like without enduring the nasty stairs of other guests. Hahaha…
Their food are kinda pricey. Opo! I mean, all the resto I love are affordable yet the food are to die for.
Anyway, we got Soup of the Day (which I totally forgot what its called, creamy something blah blah! Hahaha..) and their Shrimps and Ribs Platter with french fries and rice. I so wanted the grilled corn but G.p refused so I had to give in. :)
I liked the soup. It has that right amount of creaminess that I so love. Its also not too salty and the consistency is perfect. It comes with a garlic bread which is a perfect partner to the soup.
But we both didn’t like our actual food really. :( Super fail! Although I liked the fries but the rest are not good. The shrimp is too salty and it was covered with something spicy and salty and tastes a little bit like pepper. :( Kahit yung picture ko mukhang tanga oh! Parang hindi talaga sila okay.
The baby back ribs is not tender and quite a bit bland. Char! Even the barbecue sauce is a bit salty and kinda tastes like pepper. We both really didn’t like it all.
Hindi talaga kami masaya after our dinner. Imagine what a dreadful day it is for us. Not to mention fail yung experience namin sa Gateway cinema. We are surrounded by jejes who doesn’t know the proper ethics at cinemas. Dabah?! Kalowka!
Well, I guess Gateway is not the place for us. We’d better stick with Robinson’s and the Mall of Asia. :) Oh well! I’m with G.p anyway so any day spent with her is another day well spent. (Naks! Pa-sweet!)
