Review: Relish at Ponte (Salcedo Village, Makati City)

On the last week of January, one of our big boss from the US paid us a visit. And you all know what that means. It means lunch out and dinner out and weekend getaways. We want her to try the best restaurants in the metro.

We have been hearing a lot of positive feedback about Relish at Ponte in Salcedo Village. And the fact that it’s one kembot away from our office is a big plus. And so off we go.

Relish at Ponte is a small restaurant situated at the heart of Makati. It has very limited seating capacity and they are always jam-packed so better come early. They have really nice interiors and lighting. The decors are minimal but elegant. The place is a bit cramped for me but I guess they have to make do with the small space.

I had their famous sisig and herb butter rice. Kiber sa cholesterol. And honestly, it’s super worth it. The sisig are crunchy and very tasty. I love that it has that creamy taste on a sisig that I really like. I swear I could eat more rice kaso nahiya naman ako sa boss ko.This one is a must try.

Oo na! Judge me! I paired my sisig with a chocolate milkshake. So sue me. But I just can’t resist. I saw the other table ordered this milkshake and I hear them calling my name so I got one. Again, super worth the calories and the future fat.

The milkshake is rich and creamy. Not too sweet but enough to satisfy a sweet-tooth like me. This is comfort food at it’s finest!

After our sumptuous meal, we had 2 slices of cake for dessert. I actually love them both. The Peanut Banoffee is a great combination of peanut butter and banana. It really leaves that wonderful feeling that only desserts could give.

I am nuts for cheesecake and the cookie dough cheesecake didn’t disappoint at all. Rich. Creamy. With just the right pungent taste of cheesecake. I went to heaven after my first bite.

I would definitely go back and bring the ReigningTatay. He would love the sisig for sure. And while I’ll try the salmon next time. My officemate said it’s delish.
