Johann Coffee and Beverages invited me and some other fellow bloggers during their opening last week. I was so excited to try them out being the ultimate coffee lover that I am. And they are one tumbling away from my office, so double yey!
The opening ceremony is just a simple one. They had ribbon cutting, a short blessing of the café and the usual traditions. We also got to try some of their coffee and pastries. I didn’t get to stay long much because I still have work but I made sure to come back later that day and the next day and the next and the next… okay fine! Araw-araw na po kami bumabalik since then. And yes! KAMI, my officemates are Johann converts now. Teehee!
I’ll tell you why.
Ambiance
Johann Coffee’s interior is a good combination of industrial with touches of modern wood furniture and lots of arts. My friends and I are talking about how much we love it. It’s definitely low maintenance but doesn’t look cheap at all. The nice modern furniture feels homey and comfortable. Ang sarap umupo and magkwentuhan. My bookworm friends and I are actually talking about having a nice bookworm meet up there.
Coffee
And of course, the coffee. My gosh. Johann made it extra difficult for me to finish that sticker-for-planner tradition because I always find myself on Johann getting my favorite Flatwhite. They really make the best flatwhite! Almost better than Costa Coffee. Well, at least for me.
Other Beverages
Aside from coffee, they also offer nature blends, smoothies and juices. So far my favorite is that Coco Melon drink and their Calamansi Cucumber smoothie. Yum!!!
Pastries
Of course! The pastries! Everybody’s favorite here is their cheese roll. But I also love their carrot cake. I told you, we are there almost everyday. We tried a lot of their pastries but the ones that stood out are those two. Although the others are also yummy. I just had their banana chocolate cake and it was yum!
Price
But I guess what really made us all love Johann is their price. They are relatively cheap. My flatwhite is only 70php. The cheese roll is only 55php. The smoothie is also around 70php. Diba?? Ang affordable eh! Nakakalurkey!
So if you work around Valero, make sure that you drop by. They also have branches in Festival Mall Alabang, Farmer’s and Gateway, and Blue Bay Walk.
Christmas Special
And because it’s Christmas time already, Johann Coffee & Beverages whipped up this yummy concoction of blendpresso. Something that would really remind of of Pinoy Pasko. Puto Bumbong and Queso de Bola Blendpresso are now available to all Johann Coffee branches. I haven’t tried on yet but I plan to try them out within this week.
But hello? Look at that putobumbong drink!!! Ugh! Parang ang sarap sarap no?
Each cup has one espresso shot and no artificial flavoring. So yey! And just like the rest of their offerings, it’s super affordable. Kagutom!
