My Birthday just ended. It’s the wee hours of the morning and I’m here writing a thank you blog even though I’m supposed to be asleep for another busy day at work. :) I just need to. While my adrenaline’s still high and everything’s fresh.
I had a blast of a birthday. Details would be posted soon. However, let me put a separate entry for my thank you to that great last year!
I travelled a lot, been to many places. Seen loads of different beautiful places and things. Tried a whole lot of new things and adventures. Acquired more experience. Been a little wiser. Had my fair share of ups and downs. Met loads of new friends. Re-united with a couple of old friends. All in all, I had a great year. I didn’t won the lottery or something but it sure felt like that.
I am the type of girl who never expects. Thus, when blessings come my way, I feel so thankful and joyful. And that is exactly what happened to my past year.
To the people who made my year extra special, THANK YOU! To those who loved me and continues to love me, double THANK YOU!
I’m excited for the year ahead. I know we’ll all have a great time. But for now, let me live, love, laugh and learn from life!
Happy Birthday To Me! :)
And to you Big Guy Up There… Salamat po sa biyaya!! :)
Another fashion blog guys… SORRY! As I’ve said countless times already, I’ve been keeping up with my blogging but I guess I’m not doing any good here as my pile seems to grow everyday! hahaha.. But I’ll try.. REALLY TRY!
Anyway, G.p have this very gorgeous top/vest with a rock star feel complete with that very MJish look of embellished shoulder pads that I’m dying to wear! (Stole the top and secretly wore it for work! hahaha .. Said sorry after anyways!)

Initially, I planned to wear this one on a Friday and pair it with a nice fitting jeans and equally drop-dead gorgeous heels! Can you imagine it? Very Rihanna I tell you!
Photo grabbed from Google.
However, I also have this very pretty A-line pink skirt that I haven’t used for quite some time now…

And so you guessed it right! I made the most unusual outfit match and come up with a Rockstar-girlish-smart casual-look!

I love the way this outfit made me look ssooo sexy with that unbelievably small waist because of the top, that “illusion” of bigger boobs created by the collar that rest right on top of my chest and very full hips because of the A-line skirt. The sleeves is also perfect for making my ridiculously large arms look a bit smaller. Agree??

I also love the fact that the top complimented my skirt to achieve that business look that I’m aiming since I’m wearing it for work. I’ve used my black peep toe pumps to complete my smart ensemble for the day.

Accessories is another major factor in dressing up. So I’ve decided to combine rockstar and formal accessories. Since I already have green on my skirt, I opted to use my beaded bracelet for the rockstar look and since I’m wearing pink, I also wore my pink studded bronze bangles with matching ring. I added another huge oval ring to complete my attire. I chose not to wear necklace or earrings as to avoid looking like a walking Christmas tree. Remember.. I am still vying for that business casual look so over-accessorizing is a big no-no!

My girl Jin, whose also wearing a skirt that day posed with me! :-) Hahaha.. Inggitera much! So here’s us posing for Cor! Thanks anyway to my Cor for being my photog! Love you both loads!

Alright, I know I’ve been posting loads of food entries! Forgive me! I have loads in my HD. Those times when I don’t have my own PC to blog onto, I was able to collect a lot of FoodTrip pics. :-) And since I’m on this De-Cluttering thingy, I need to finish them off before posting the recent ones.
OK, back to regular programming.
I haven’t tried Big Buddha ever. So when Jerellt invited us, her entourage, for a thank you post wedding dinner and dragged us in this resto I gladly obliged.
I’ve heard a lot of good reviews about the place and I can tell that it is not the first time of Je to dine in here so I allow them to choose the foods that we’re having.
We actually had loads on the table. Being with them means having a bursting tummy, believe me. But my night was spent not only having great funny conversations with my bestest friends but also an impromptu photog lesson with none other than Erlie! Let me tell you, in the 11 yrs that we’ve known each other, it is the first time that I have learned of her talent! hahahahaha…
So guys, let me PROUDLY show you some of the pics taken that night.

A few days back, I promised myself to start a new project.
I just realized that everything in my life seems cluttered. My emails, my pc files, my tasks, my desk, my office pedestal, my closet (oh my! If you only knew!), my bed, my room, my house, my brain… literally E-V-E-R-T-Y-T-H-I-N-G! And I simply cannot continue to live in a mess that is my life.
I was thinking of gradually arranging everything. And of course, I’ll start with the basics: my emails, my tasks, my files, and my office desk. I’ll de-clutter them one by one. And of course, try not to mess things anymore. I am starting with organizing my email, and making sure that new emails go directly to the NEW right folder as so not to file up on the old things that I need to de-clutter.
Wish me luck guys! This is one major project that I must work on; and probably the most difficult one! i will surely keep you posted. ;-)
a.M introduced me to this wonderful TV series over the weekend. So my 5-day vacatin was generally spent watching the whole series.
I was awed. I can't take my eyes off the screen. It was superb. It was genius. Whoever conceptualized this TV series is amazing.
I wont pretend to be an expert in films and television. I am not. I am speaking as a viewer. As a random person who once in a while stumbles upon television shows that made me realize how much power television has over me. It was awesome.
Lie to Me is an American television series which revolves around the life and works of Dr. Carl Lightman and his company, The Lightman Group. They are deception experts who assists in investigations by reaching truths through applied psychology, interpreting microexpressions and body language.
I was drawn to science of interpreting facial expressions. Especially what they call microexpression. That specific gesture that determines the real feeling of one person.
I was always wondering how to identify the lies from the truths. The real from the hidden. I was always thinking of the actual meaning of every gesture. And this series shows how.
I was able to finish Season One in two days. And I'm now looking forward to watching the second season. Looking forward to learning more things. Now, everytime I talk to someone, I find myself intently watching his/her expression. Finding those "microexpressions" and find the hidden feeling behind every smile. Every raised eyebrow. Every line and crease in a forehead.
This one is a must see guys. And I hope you'll enjoy as much as I did.
Just finished reading this book, and for those of you who follow me on Facebook would know my reactions WHILE reading this. J But let me have the liberty of reposting my comments for the benefit of those who doesn’t know my existence on the said networking site. :-P
I love it and hate it at the same time. I don’t know. I just do. I keep on telling my friends who wished to read the book that they should be warned. This book is not for the faint hearted, and definitely not for the narrow-minded. It tells a lot. Explains a lot. Explores a lot. There are times when you’d question yourself why you even bother to read and yet you know for a fact that it would be a waste not to.
I love the reality. I love the fiction. I love the stories and the emotions behind every word of Belle de Jour. I love her witty way of telling things. Of telling her story. She has this talent to make even the most gruesome experience seem like a part of our daily lives.
Although I can say that I am an open-minded person, someone who accept things as they are, but I cannot say it’s true specially when it comes to the subject of sex. I am a believer that sex must be made by TWO persons in love. And this deed must be done with love and respect and passion and deep emotional feeling that will make this act as magical as it can be.
But on this book, there are two faces of sex that was shown. The one that I am aware of and the one I refuse to look at. But it’s there, right into my face. Written on a paperback. And I am siphoning those information like a hungry hyena.
But I must say, that my beliefs about sex is as intact as it is before I read the book. The only thing that changed is my acceptance of the fact that not everybody believes in what I believe in. And that I must respect their beliefs even if they go against my nature.
It is a must read for those who want to learn. For those willing to know the difference. I myself is astound of the way Belle de Jour narrates her story. In a way that I was able to understand and feel what she’s feeling.
Hats off to Belle and all her intimate adventures. Hats off to us readers, who were influenced and touched by Belle’s story in a way unimaginable. Hats off to Desi and Adel, my friends who introduced me to the book.
I’m looking forward to another Belle de Jour book and I hope it’ll satisfy me the way this book does. :-)
