I have a lot on my stash now that I am bound to post. And first thing is my now favorite nude lippy – L’Oreal Paris Collection Star in Barely Coral.
This light coral shade radiates a vintagey vibe for some reason. And I love it. Highly pigmented and easy to swipe on the lips. My lips doesn’t feel dry at all. Actually, it gives the much needed moisture on my lips. With just the right amount of sheer.
I love to wear it on days when I feel like having a nude lipstick. Or if I wanna look made up, but not too flashy, if you know what I mean.
This is definitely the shade I would grab on a first date with my long time nerdy crush. Something to that effect.
I love it so much that this is what I used on my pictorial. Simply because I wanna have a shoot with the old typewriter in Museong Pambata and it’s just perfect. Vintage but classy and modern.

Actually, I have a couple of L’Oreal lipsticks on my stash and this is definitely one of my favorites.
I love the packaging too. Rose gold with that glassy thingy where it shows the exact shade of the lipstick. Easier to identify.
This shade is perfect for all skin types and skin colours. So yeah! Highly recommended. Go and try it. It retails at around 500ish php. And you can find it on your favorite beauty counters.
Here’s another sponsored lipstick. Given by my one and only lipstick stash sponsor – Len! :) If you’re reading this, THANK YOU SO MUCH!! Sana bumili ka pa ng madaming lipstick na ayaw mo. Hihihihihi..
Again, she gave this one to me because it doesn’t really suit her complexion. She has a fair skin you see, while I am morena. So most of the time, if a lipstick doesn’t really fit her, it’ll be perfect for me.
I love this shade specifically because of it’s obvious orange/bronze’y undertone. It also has more sheen that most nude lippies out there. So it’s perfect for morenas like me who prefers to wear nude but doesn’t want something too nude. It’s really noticeable because of the sheen and is perfect with just an eyeliner and mascara on for that everyday look. And maybe a bit of brownish smokey eyes for a more made up look.
Part of the lipstick stash that Arlene gave me was the Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Moss in #101 (Soft Pink). She knew my dilemma in finding the perfect pink lipstick for moi. You see, I am morena, and proud if I may add! But i really want a decent pink lipstick. Pero ayoko naman magmukhang Nicki Minaj ang levels. I wanna be Barbie.
So when Arlene gave me this lippie, I was so so happy! I love that it's pink but not too pink. It's more of a nude pink lippie. Perfect for that soft look that you're aiming for. I also love it with smokey eyes because it just balance out the entire look.
I would usually wear this pink lippy when I'm wearing loud outfit. Loud color or too much accessories. Or sometimes, if bet ko ang Maria Clara look for that day like here...
Eversince I got pregnant, this has been one of my go to lippies. I always always bring it with me. Being pregnant tends to make one look overwhelming. The baby bump itself is just overwhelming so a soft pink lipstick is really perfect to achieve that pregnancy glow. It's very difficult, I tell you! Been catching that pregnancy glow for months now to no avail. But someday, one day, I will. I am actually getting there. I'm claiming it!
So if you're a morena like me and is looking for a soft pink lippie to bring out that Maria Clara peg, go for Rimmel by Kate Moss. It's moisturizing enough and does not chap one's lips. And it actually is lasting finish. Can’t believe that it stays on my lips for hours! HOURS! And it just gave me that soft pretty lips that I so love.
And oh! Thank you Arlene! Buti nalang di bagay sayo to. I love it!!!
These babies came all the way from the US last week and I am so so happy!
Len told me that MAC is on sale so I had her buy me my favorite Ruby Woo but when my Ruby Woo arrived, a nude lippy was in tow. Kaya love na love ko yung friend ko eh! May freebies pa!
She says she didn’t like the color of this lipstick on her skin tone as it leaves a little orangey effect and has too much sheen. Len has fair skin and lipsticks with orange undertone doesn’t suit her. So she sent it to me.
You be the judge!
This lipstick is nude with a little peachy tone. It’s more nude than peach actually so I’m wondering why it was named as such. This for me is a perfect nude lipstick for morenas like me. It has a bit of frostiness or sheer in it but not too much. I guess the sheer is more visible if you have fair skin. I actually like it for giving me that Maria Clara peg. I never thought I could ever carry a nude lipstick, it has been my dream for the longest time but every time I try one, I always look sick and too pale so I am very happy that Len found this shade for me.
It’s also highly pigmented but the frost tend to highlight chapped/dry lips so make sure you exfoliate and moisturize your lips before applying this. I also don’t think it’s a moisturizing lipstick so make sure you apply lip balms before hand. But I like that it has SPF15 coz we all want a little protection on our dear lippies right?
I highly recommend this baby on morenas looking for the perfect nude lippy.
xoxo,
Reigne
P.S.: I don’t do make up swatches coz I’m no make up expert and I don’t really get them!! Nyahahaha.. The colors looks so different on swatches anyway. So I tend to put them on my lips. Take note also that lipsticks would look really different on each person. Note that I am morena so most of my reviews are for morenas like me.
I have a confession to make – I have what you call Red Lipstick Addiction. :) Blame my friend Arlene for introducing me to the world of lipstick colors. I have been using my boring Avon lipstick for ages now, you know, that color that only give your lips just enough pinkishness so as not to look too pale. But now, I am all for red lipsticks!! Yay!
I used to think that morenas are not allowed to wear red lipsticks. But now, I beg to disagree! It all boils down to the right color. And CoverGirl’s Lip Perfection in 305 Hot Passion is a perfect example. My sister has darker skin tone than mine and CoverGirl is her new bestfriend. It’s just the perfect red lipstick for morenas. Promise!
CoverGirl Hot Passion is a moisturizing lipstick but is semi-matte. It’s highly pigmented and has blue undertone, thus gave an illusion of a fairer complexion and whiter teeth. I prefer this one better than my Wet N’ Wild Stoplight Red just because it’s a moisturizing lipstick. But they are both long lasting. And both looks great on photos.
It retails at Php395 here in Manila. Very affordable. Specially if you consider the quality of the lipstick. I put lipsticks straight from the tube you see. I’m not a fan of lip brushes and so I love lipsticks that glides easily on the lips and this one is perfect.
They say that this is the “Taylor Swift lipstick”. And I can’t help but give sissy Taylor a pat on the back for wearing this one ALWAYS. :) I also can’t take it off you see.
Them red lipsticks sure made my make up routine much more easier and faster. My BBCream + Light Blush + Red Lips combo is a sure winner. It never fails.
And oh! I ended up hoarding CoverGirl make ups when all I really want is their lippies. I so loving the crème blush now. Will give you a review soon!
My current obsession are red lipsticks! They are gorgeous. They could make any plain simple outfit look glam. They also made my make up routine a lot faster. Now I only have to wear red lipsticks and some BBcream and I’m all set. Red lippies make my face look whiter and more made up.
And when it comes to red lipsticks, we all know who the queen is – of course, everyone’s fave, the Mac Ruby Woo!
Who among you here doesn’t know who Ruby Woo is? Raise your hand. Hahahaha! None? Of course. We all know who Ruby Woo is. If you want to achieve that Anne Curtis red lips, you must swipe them Ruby Woo’s on your lips for that pouty fresh juicy look.
But not everyone can afford it. Plus its always out of stock. I’m so glad my friend Len hoarded some Wet n’ Wild lippies from the US and found me the perfect Ruby Woo dupe.
Wet n’ Wild’s Stoplight Red! It only costs Php 300 here in Manila (Mac is Php 1000) and they really look the same!
Wet n’ Wild also has that matte finish and is easy to apply. Its also highly pigmented and has this rich consistency. Although I noticed that unlike Ruby Woo, it stains everything my lips touched and sometimes gets a little messy if you’re not careful. Also, while Ruby Woo lasts the whole day even after eating and drinking, this one fades a little. But just a little and only if you eat something watery or oily. Nonetheless, I loved that the lipstick last longer than expected (considering the price).
This one is really a great dupe I must say. :) Very happy and extremely satisfied. I be all glammed up and not overspend. Yey!
Here are some photos of me sporting Wet n’ Wild Stoplight Red. They are my current favorite! Perfect for budget fashionistas like me. Note that when I took this photos, I haven’t retouched my lipsticks. So I was wearing them for about 4hours or so already. Look how bright they still are. :)
