I was able to watch this movie online a couple of months ago. I was initially very much intrigued with this movie because I read about the plot in Wikipedia when I was searching about Kim Go Eun.

This movie didn’t disappoint. And I now know why Go Eun became famous after this movie.

First, let’s talk about the main thing that most people talk about this film - the explicit sex scenes. Yes, there are. And for a young girl’s first movie, it was shocking but also very smart and brave. I mean, Go Eun definitely made sure that her first movie would be worth it.

Yes, the sex scenes are explicit and maygahd! But I swear it’s not like one of those sex scenes that’s only there to sell sex. When you watch the film, you would KNOW why the explicit scenes are there. It’s like the director wants you to feel the character. The scenes are there so you could understand WHY the characters are like that. It is there so you’d see a young girl’s transformation into a woman.

The movie is all about an old man and his desires. A young girl and her innocence. A young man and his selfishness. The movie is raw and beautiful and meaningful.

I find it hard to explain without really going into details but I must say that this movie is so worth watching. When I watched it, I realized that K-movies are also exceptional. Iba sila gumawa ng pelikula. After this film, I also watched several other K-movies and they are all perfectly made. I hope to also see that kind of line-up here in Manila.

Overall this film is beautiful, raw, and painful. Beautifully-made and is definitely a masterpiece.

Of course, since it's Christmas season already, given na ang mga Netflix originals na may theme na royals, snow and everything romantic. So when I saw The Princess Switch on my Netflix line up, I watched it agad agad. Sensya na! I'm a hopeless romantic and I really love these kinds of movies coz it relaxes me.

Here are my thoughts about this movie and why I think you should also watch it if you just want a feel-good super light movie.

1. Of course, the storyline is far far from truth. I mean two girls who grew up from the different side of the world actually look soooo much alike that even the bestfriend and the fiance didn't even see the difference when they switched. Ang saya pa because unlike the common Filipino teleseryes, di po sila kambal na pinaghiwalay ng tadhana. Hahaha! Wala lang magkamukha lang sila. Wag na kayo mag react. Accept that fact nalang. Okay din naman.

2. The leading men are both charming. Kinilig ako kasi ang pogi nila!!!

3. Vanessa Hudgens is so pretty. Ang sarap maging prinsesa.

4. Winter wonderland, Christmas and a far far castle. Can it get better than that?

5. It's just a feel good movie. Nakakakilig the guys. Of course may wedding scene and in the end nagkatuluyan sila (as usual). Yehey!!

It's a nice movie lang. Watch it with friends and family on a relaxing night tapos cuddle lang. Ayun lang.

Watched this on it's first day of screening and na-shock ako sa dami ng tao sa sinehan! Even my friends na #TiasOfManila na never mo mapapalabas ng bahay pag week nights eh sumugod sa sinehan just to watch. Iba ang spark ng #CarGel.

And now I know why they decided to accept this film sa dami ng na-pitch sa kanila. And I'll list down my personal review (na aminin na natin na medyo bias kasi patay na patay ako kay Carlo pero I swear sa part lang ng kagwapuhan ni Carlo ako bias, sa ibang aspeto ng pelikula all honest review ang makukuha nyo pramis!).

Sobrang ganda ng pelikula talaga. If I could rate this, as in ka-level sya ng Meet Me in St. Gallen pero ibang atake kasi or Kita Kita or That Thing Called Tadhana. Gets nyo? Ganun sya eh. Tipong angat. Tipong di mo malilimutan.

So ano pang hinihintay natin mga baksh? Nood na!

We're big #KathNiel fans. And so given ng panonoorin ko to. I wouldn't dare miss this movie and I'm so glad I did watch because it is definitely one of the best movies I've watched this year. Hands down!

I am super proud of the Filipino movies lately. Nakakaloka, ang gaganda nila! Pwede naman pala. Pwede naman pala tayong hainan ng mga de-kalibreng pelikula. Di naman kelangan Avengers-level or Moana-level but simple  movies na talagang tatamaan ka sa ganda ng storyline, parang Miss Granny or Meet Me In St. Gallen. Pwede pala! Tapos susunod pa ang Goyo!

Anyway, here are my thoughts about this movie and why I think it'll be one of those movies I'll re-watch over and over again...

1. This movie would make you cry and laugh and fall in love in a span of two hours. Lahat ng feelings na yun parang roller-coaster mong mararamdaman. Also, it would always caught you off guard. Sanay tayo na pag romcom, bubusugin ka muna sa comedy and then a tear-jerker scene at the end. Pero dito hindi eh. Simula iiyak ka. Tapos tatawa ka. Tapos iyak ka ulit. Tapos tawa onti. Tapos ngalngal na naman. Kaloka! Nung last nga, tinago ko na ang tissue, akala ko done na with cryola. Hindi pa pala! Labas ulit ako ng tissue at singhot. Iba ang pagkakasulat neto. Ginalingan!

2. Ano mang status ng puso mo ngayon, tatamaan ka sa movie na to. And more than that, you'll definitely learn something. Primo and George's story was shown in such a realistic view (minus all the ulan every masasakit na scenes ah) and very much relatable. The young love. The painful breakup. The difficulty of bringing back the love. Of saving the love. Of re-igniting the fire. The difficulty of choosing which to follow - your brain or your heart. Yung ang tagal tagal mo magpapakamartir tapos pag sobrang sakit na tska ka sasabog. Grabe!

3. THIS IS KATHRYN'S BEST. I've always believed in Kath's talent. Magaling naman talaga sya Barcelona eh. Dama mo yung sakit dun eh. But I guess siguro nga pwedeng na overpower ni DJ because DJ's character has more depth. But Kath's subtle acting is really wonderful. Gustong gusto ko. Pero dito!!!!!! Grabe! I know everybody is moved by that jeepney scene pero totoo kasi na turning point nya yun. I mean, she's doing everything for the love of her life. She believed in him. But she has sacrificed so much. So so so much. Tapos kitang kita mo sa mata nya yung, syet! Di ko maiwan tong gago na to. Kita mo din yung struggle sa kanya. Ramdam mo yung sakit sa bawat eksena sa ulan. I think, I understand why Kath thinks this is the most difficult film for her. Eh di naman sya tumbling tumbling like sa La Luna. Mahirap sya because the heavy scenes are nakakaupos talaga. Mauupos ka.

4. Amsterdam is a beautiful place. And this movie made me want to visit it more.

5. Yung friend ni Kath na bading? Gago yun eh! Hahahaha! I swear, sya yung bestfriend talaga na ang daming hanash. Yung alam mong sinasabi lang yun kasi mahal na mahal ka at alam nyang para din sayo yun but darn!!! Friends, sometimes wag tayong hanash ng hanash kung di naman hinihingi ang opinyon mo. Panggulo lang eh. Cheret! Pero totoo yan diba? Sometimes you think I'll tell her this and that because it's all for my friend's sake but ultimately, could you really help? Sometimes it's okay to slap them with the truth but most of the time, let them get hurt. Let them learn on their own. Because sometimes, sa totoo lang, gumaganun tayo kasi wala tayo sa sitwasyon nya.


Kung lessons learned lang din, madadami kang mapupulot sa movie na to. But I guess iba iba tayo. The impact of the movie on me might be different from you. But definitely, may mauuwi ka.

Go watch! Kaya sya block buster because maganda talaga.

Grabe! I really, really love this film. Watched it with the #FabSkye over the weekend and super worth it sya.

So without further ado, here are my thoughts about the Philippine adaptation of the Korean hit, Miss Granny:

The moment I saw this movie's trailer, I know I just have to watch this. Lately, ang gaganda ng mga Filipino romantic movies and super worth it na suportahan. Bela has been making good movies these days. With Meet Me In St. Gallen and 100 Tula Para Kay Stella under her belt, I really have high expectations on this film.

And so with that, let's start with our review! Warning lang coz it'll have some spoilers ah. Mahirap iwasan mag-spoiler for this review eh.

Our company treated us for a movie night out last Friday and we sure had loads of fun. Of course I had to drag the #ReigningTatay with me because it is a Marvel movie (kahit na di naman sya talaga fan ng Marvel kasi mas bet nya si FPJ).

Anyway, so how was it? 

I think it's a good movie. Specifically love the comedy and Paul Rudd. For me, he will always be Phoebe's husband kaya siguro bentang benta sa akin ang brand of comedy nya. Though the action scenes for me are a bit weird. It's good, of course. But just weird because of all the changing of the sizes and everything. That Ghost character for me is weird but I love that she was able to find that parental love with that Professor.

Overall, must-see movie padin talaga sya because it's Marvel and you should really watch all the Marvel movies para updated ka.

If you want a movie na may action, comedy, love story and some moral lesson - go watch this!

Another movie I was able to catch on Netflix!

As usual teen chick flick again. Told ya I'm nutters with this kind of movie. Hahaha!

So anyway, here are my thoughts about this film and find out if you should stream this on Netflix too!

1. This is a film about a pop star who was able to spend a day with a girl and eventually fell in love. Actually, what got my attention was the fact that the guy looks like Biebs and the girl has a mild resemblance with Selena Gomez. Hihihihi!

2. Though the plot is nothing extra ordinary, and is actually super cliche, I loved it. Probably because I didn't really expect much. I mean, I'm just there for the kilig. And kilig I got.

3. I love that this film encourages the youth to follow their dreams. Though I don't think I agree with the way they did it. Watch it to find out. Nanay lang kasi ata talaga ako. Kurni na me!

4. I love the shots! And that poster is just super nice no?

5. I kinda don't like the leads. May problema ako kay Justin look-a-like. But they got chemistry. So yeah!
