I am so not feeling well when I wore this. It was the morning after our intense work out and I am waaaayyy too exhausted to even think of a proper attire. So when I opened my closet and saw this Zara blazers (a favorite), I just rummaged for some blue bottoms hence this skirt and I’m off! Oh, squeeze in a 5 minute look shots and then I’m off. Hihihi…

That’s basically one of my secrets in ninja dressing. Not dressing like a ninja of course, I meant super fast dressing up duh! @_@ I always get a statement piece, yung tipong never fail item and then I’d pair it with an item of the same color palette. So I’m 100% sure that they’d go well. Then finish off with my “safe” accessories like golds and whites or silvers. Also, keeping accessories to a minimum on a ninja dressing day is another never fail decision.

No multiple pieces or arm parties. I love this specific bangle of mine because its white with gold details. Glam and safe. I can wear it with anything really. And usually, this skull ring is my go to safe accessories if I want to give a look an oommpphh.

I didn’t really realize that my skirt is a little too short. Told you I’m in such a hurry that morning so thank goodness I paired it with this blazers coz they definitely gave the smart casualness vibe of my look even if I am wearing a tee underneath. And I also ditch the heels and stayed on flats. That way, I wont have that longer legs that’ll only emphasize my short skirt. Though heels would do wonders on making my legs look longer, they’d also be the number one culprit if my boss noticed my a little too short skirt. So sssshhhh guys okay? I didn’t receive a warning letter so I guess I got off safe. Whew!

Annnnnnddd… let me just share with you my new addiction. These Solemate flats from SM Department Store. I so so so love them! It just doesn’t show here (if you follow me on Instagram then you’d probably have seen these babies), but my flats are adorned with cute little white stars. I got the flats in beige which is a safe color and I have been wearing them for 3 straight days! They are my comfiest pair!!! Promise. And bongga coz their size 5 is actually just a little big on me. Tipong keri na! :) Plus, they only cost Php300! And if you get 2 pairs, it’ll only cost you Php399!! Of course, I got myself 2 pairs of flats! Kaloka!

By the way, would you believe that this skirt actually costs Php40?? My cousin got it in Divisoria and when she showed it to me and told me the price, I was hysterical. I saw an exact same skirt in Landmark that costs around Php200++! I was hysterical because she only got the blue one. Pag ganun kamura ang damit, binibili lahat ng colors!! Diba?? Kakaloka minsan yung pinsan ko eh. Told her to go back and she wasn’t able to. Sayang coz they got white and red ata. I would love it if they have it in yellow. Lakas maka-summer diba? Sayang talaga!

How’s your week so far everyone? :) Mine is pretty busy. I was supposed to go out of the country for work but the trip was postponed. And I can’t help but be glad! Super busy with work that needs to be done here in Manila. Hay!

This is what I wore on my brother’s 8th birthday. We attended mass so shorts and mini skirts are out. My mother is very specific when it comes to dressing up on church. She would insist that we dress appropriately which I think is very important. Again, know your intended audience. Ayaw ko naman magkasala yung mga nasa paligid ko dahil sa damit ko!

So what’s a girl to do? Go back to basics of course! Jeans + Basic Tee is a sure hit combo. You could never go wrong in them. Capped off my outfit with a pair of boat shoes for added comfort and I’m all set! Very simple, very basic but undeniably very fashionable.

I think the secret to this look is my blue soft skinnies. Told you I am addicted to them! They are very comfortable and very stylish. Them royal blue skinnies is a statement all on its own. This serves as the focal point of my look. Very eye candy. Imagine if I wore basic denims on this look. Naku! Hindi nyo ko makikilala sa sobrang simple! Hahahaha..

And oh! This specific pair skinnies I think is best for chubs chubs like me. I used to think that skinnies make my thighs look bigger so I stay away from them as much as I can. But soft skinnies in candy colors (preferably dark tones) just made my thighs look “skinny” and not to mention longer! Kung hindi lang kami sa Baclaran magsisimba avail ko talaga yung blue heels ko eh for extra length. Kaso waley! Baclaran yun at gusto ko pa mabuhay kaya blue boat shoes na lang. Tingkayad ever nalang ako.

And of course, since very early ito at mega eye bags pa ko -  avail ko na din ang aking very trusted pair of Ray-bans! And used my native bag for extra color and statement. Again I went minimalist on accessories because I know I’d be carrying my brother from time to time so bulky accessories are out. I don’t want my brother to get hurt. Just those blue pearls and black bangles. And of course, just wore pink lippies for that simple girl peg. I’m all set for some family bonding time!

How’s 2013 so far? I’m down with the asthma. Hahahaha! First week of the year and I’m sick. Gosh! I really think I need to exercise. I think I need to run early in the morning to make my lungs stronger. What do you guys think? And oh! You know any vitamins I can try to make my immune system stronger? Malaking hadlang ang pagiging sakitin ko sa mga pangarap ko eh!

Dressing up in the corporate world is so tedious! I have been working for years now and I’m so glad that the company I worked for doesn’t require uniforms because then I can do what I love most which is dressing up.

But for a fashionista like I am, (I am a self-proclaimed one so if you don’t agree, well get out of my blog. Kiddin’!) those dreaded dress code policy are my biggest enemy. They slim down my choices and I sometimes find that they are not updated on the latest trend. Oh well!

But who say’s that corporate dressing isn’t fun?! Who says the choices are limited? Oh don’t let the corporate world bring you down and eat you from within. (Maka-drama naman ako!)

Here’s another way to smarten up your casuals. :)

Yes everyone! Blazers are your bestfriend!!! I used to not like blazers because they are too “formal” but now I love them. They make every look so put together effortlessly. And they can transform even your jeans into a smart casual attire in just a snap.

Take this look for example. Here I am wearing a simple black tee and my black skinny jeans. But an officemate actually told me that I look too business-like that day. And I have to thank my blazers for that. It simply upgraded my overall look into a smart casual one which is the required look for the corporate world.

We are only allowed to wear jeans on dress-down days but this particular pair is my personal exception. Of course, if you are an officemate of mine please don’t tell my bosses that this pants are actually jeans. :) Di naman kaya halata! I swear. The secret there is finding the perfect black skinnies. Most skinnies are made of soft stretch jeans that could easily pass up as slacks. And once you got a pair in black, even your boss won’t be able to tell the difference.

I like buying flexible pieces. Those that can be worn on different occasions. I am not rich. I don’t have swpare money to buy tons of clothes just to fit my fashion needs. Actually, the key here is mix and match.

Notice that since I wore this on a regular working day, I made sure that I kept my look smart by wearing blazers and finish off with my cute nude wedges.

That’s another fashion tip - if you want to wear your jeans and make them look smart, wear heels! Shoes really does make huge difference on your look. Even a pair of shorts can look smart if worn with heels. The beauty of fashion and the endless possibilities. Isn’t it amazing?!

I also accessorize accordingly. I didn’t dare wear statement accessories since I don’t want to look too casual. I settled for the basic accessories – black and silver stud earrings, watch and steel necklace. I also tie my hair in a high ponytail to achieve that polished look.

But of course since it’s me, I added a bit of playfulness on my look by adding a splash of color red via my slim belt. But made sure that phone case matched my look. Aren’t they the cutest. Cath Kidston S3 flower case for the win!
